This Privacy Policy explains how Sudoku ("the App"), developed by Qortx AI, handles data.
1. Overview
Sudoku is an offline-first mobile game. Local gameplay does not require an account or internet connection. The App optionally uses Google Play Games Services for Cloud Sync and uses Firebase Crashlytics for app stability and diagnostics.
2. Information We Process
- Local game data: puzzle progress, settings, difficulty, and statistics are stored on your device in app-private storage.
- Optional Cloud Sync data: if you use Cloud Sync, supported puzzle progress, solve history, statistics, and related game state are processed through Google Play Games Services.
- Crash and diagnostic data: Firebase Crashlytics may collect app version, device model, operating-system version, crash timestamps, stack traces, exception types, process state, installation identifiers, session identifiers, and controlled Cloud Sync failure categories.
- No account required for local play: no email, phone number, or profile is required to play locally. Optional Cloud Sync uses the Play Games profile selected on your device.
- No tracking: we do not collect location, advertising ID, contacts, or usage analytics for tracking purposes.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal data. The App does not include third-party advertising or usage-analytics SDKs for tracking. Google processes Cloud Sync data through Google Play Games Services, and crash and diagnostic data through Firebase Crashlytics, to provide those services and help improve app reliability.
4. Cloud Sync and Device Transfer
Cloud Sync is optional. If enabled and you are signed into Play Games, the App can synchronize supported game progress and statistics across devices using the same Play Games profile. Local gameplay remains available without signing in. The App does not intentionally send puzzle contents, saved-game payloads, Google Play account identifiers, or advertising identifiers to Firebase Crashlytics.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data is retained on your device until you delete it. You can remove local data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the App. Cloud Sync and Crashlytics data are retained and deleted according to Google's applicable retention policies and controls. 6. Security
Local app data is stored in Android app-private storage and protected by Android's application sandbox. Data transmitted to Google services is encrypted in transit.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
